How it works

We make it quick to reach a drainage contractor who works where you live.

  1. You call or send a request

Tell us your address and what the water is doing: ponding in the yard, running toward the slab, spilling off the roof, or backing up from a ditch or culvert.

  2. We connect you with a local company

Your call or request goes to an independent drainage or landscape contractor that serves Lafayette Parish.

  3. The company handles the job

They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.

What we are and aren't

Lafayette French Drains is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.

Louisiana's Licensing Board for Contractors says home improvement work on an existing home with a project value of $7,500 or more requires a home improvement registration, and residential work over $50,000 needs a residential license. Ask the contractor which credential it holds and look it up on the board's website. Also ask for a certificate of insurance, who will submit the Louisiana 811 locate request, where the water will be discharged, and whether your lot is in a mapped floodplain, where Lafayette's zero net fill rule can affect bringing in dirt.
